BOOKTER 1931 .3 Junior Class Ill not confer wlth sorrow T1ll tomorrow But Joy shall haxe her way Thls xery day Although our dlgnltx as upper tlassmen was rather forced at the beglnnmg of the year we flnally settled ourselves IS 1 most promlslng class ln the mlnds of the Students The followxng offxcers were elected Presldent Johnny 'iandmtyer YICG Presldcnt Bernlce Pedersen Treasurer Roberta Dane Because the class dld not have the opportumty to sell candy and refreshments at the games the flnanclal problem was olwed by havlng several matlnee danc s 1n the cafeterla These were enthusxastxcally rcelved by all who attended On Aprxl 22 the Junlor Senlor Prom was held at the Masonlc Temple The hall was attractlvely decorated IH clever wall panels wlth modernlstxt scenery for the orchestra plt Clever hghtmg effects added to the color scheme and for everyone who attended lt was a most gala event The success of the Junlor Semor Prom was due largely to the faxthful work of our advlsors Mlss Hoffman Jumor advlsor and Mlss DuBo1s Semor advx or the comrnlttee and the work of both classes Wlth all enthusmsm we are lookmg forward to a successful year as senxors Smile a l1ttle Help a l1ttle Push a l1ttle The world needs you Work a l1ttle Walt a l1ttle Hope a l1ttle And don t get blue Juniors Wlth one sad farewell glance The JUHIOTS steadxly adxance A l1ttle sorrow that tomorrow Grown up QCHIUTS they must represent But short the sorrow lasts When we thmk of our future class For now the honored seniors we are to be We long for the dawn of tomorrow to see VS hen at last our year wexe completed And upon the stage wt are seated Our hard earned rewards to be presented Vle shall feel good semors we'we represented Page Twenty three . BOOK1' EI! loan ffsfat Sophomore Class Vhth the semors prepaxmg for college the jumors becomlng upper classmen and the freshmen learnmg the ropes the Sophomore Class began the year wlth the determmatlon to show more pep and enthusiasm than any other class ln school At our f1rst meetmg the followmg offlcers were elected Presldent Danny Starr V1ce Presldent Jlm Lawson Phyllls Qulnn Treasurer Geneva Qualhexm We were very fortunate 1n havmg such advlsors as MISS Reeves and 'VI1ss Shelton who have helped us to establxsh a permanent place IH Bremerton Hlgh School For oclal events the sophomores gave a very successful splash party In January at the Y M C A and on the elghteenth of May the members of the class enjoyed a pxcmc at Wlldcat Lake We certamly are proud of our sophomore boys who made the football basket ball track and baseball teams Many of our number are members of the Honor Soclety Our stunt whlch was the burmng of Podunks Wolf won the prlze at the Pep Rally We are proud to boast not only of our school Splflt but also of our assembly Wh1Ch was gxven much credlt ln the assembly serles yet It IS only an 1nd1cat1on of what we w1ll do when we are Jumors NORMA SKIRVING The Sophomores The sophomore class of 32 Just wants to say Its b1t to you To tell you all the thmgs we ve done And say we certalnly have had fun' Now our assembly known far and wxde Is just another cause of our Sophomore Prlde We had famous smgers dancers and all It was almost as grand as the Semors Ball Our p1cn1c out at Wxldcat Lake Now I wonder who ate all that cake And altho the Semors had a sneak Into our plCI'llC they couldnt even peak A splash party was held at the Y swlmmlng tank Most everyone was there on that you can bank Everyone got out his old bathmg sult And ran to the Y wlth a great shout and whoop Our class offlcers we mustnt neglect For they are some classmates well never forget Danny Starr and Jlm Lawson as presldent and vlce Geneva and Phyllls as the others were DICE About our adylsors we must say a word Of the two you all have heard, To Mlss Reeves and Mlss Shelton we glve three cheers For helpmg to make thls one of our happlest years JOCELYN PIZER Page Tu entv five v - - v W 1-- I'5'1-vi ,', W - ,'4 v ' v .
