ACTIVITIES French Club makes learning fun The French Club consists of those students who have a “B” average or above in French I or French II. The club is sponsored by Mrs. Driver. Its main purpose is to provide the better students with an opportunity to ex- pand their knowledge of the language and of France itself. Janice Reese ACTIVITIES Service is Synonynous with Tri-Ai-Y Tri-Hi-Y girls joined together in Octo- ber to wish Steve Zollinger a successful kidney transplant. Answering the request for financial assistance to pay for the $30,000 surgery, Tri-Hi-Y members col- lected over seven hundred dollars at West and in wishing-well booths set up in Hendersonville. Teachers were next to benefit from the service of Tri-Hi-Y as the girls served refreshments on “Teacher Appreciation Day” and at Christmas. As usual, the girls volunteered their service to the YMCA, their parent organi- zation, where they taught gymnastics and manned the desk.
