ACTIVITIES Beta inducts seventeen new members The main aim of Beta Club is to recognize those students who have excelled scholastically and who have the qualities of leadership and of good character. This year sixteen juniors and one senior were given invitations to join Beta. Each had at least a 3.2 grade average. This average was computed from their pre- vious grades. As part of the initiation ceremonies, candidates gave a performance in an assembly pro- gram to show their talents. One club project this year was Christmas caroling in Hendersonville. The club also sponsored a tutoring service where any student needing or wanting aid could obtain it during their study hall period. ACTIVITIES Keyettes mean service The Keyettes of West Henderson have accomplish- ed much since receiving their charter a year and a half ago. Acting as a service club they have visited rest homes, given parties to orphaned children, operated coatchecks for basketball fans, assisted teachers, and many other service acts which have gone a long way in helping others. Turning in all directions, Mrs. Driver tries to organize and assist. The most successful meetings are often informal. Helping others is not only rewarding but most always fun.
