Football ’70-’71 The 1970-71 football team will be remembered as a hustling, hard-hitting group of players. Their play- ing was marked by their determination which they showed during practice and games. One of the highlights of the season was the Homecoming game victory over Erwin by the score of 18-12. Next year’s team should benefit from experi- ence as eighteen players return from a squad of twenty-six. Seniors on this year’s team were; Mike Dunlap, George Connelly, Eury Corn, J.N. Cook, Don Frisbee, Bob Sherrill, Phillip Goodrich, and Jim Mor- gan.
