DEDICATION Miss Bessie Jordan Miss Willie Lou Jordan To two whose lives have been dedicated to the teaching profession and who have given freely of their time and talents to enrich our educational system, we, the Senior Class dedicate this 1964 edition of the FALCON. Miss Bessie Jordan was devoted to teaching for thirty-five years, beginning her career in 1906 at the Rugby School in Henderson County. At this time, she received a salary of only $20 per month. She served in Henderson County Schools for almost thirty years. These schools in- cluded Mills River, Edneyville, Etowah, and Hendersonville. In 1924, Miss Jordan became prin- cipal of Mills River School and in 1927 went to Edneyville to serve as its principal. Miss Willie Lou Jordan has dedicated forty-one years of her life to teaching, and in all but three of these she has been in Henderson County. She has taught in Mills River, Edneyville, and West Henderson. When West Henderson High School was built, Miss Jordan became its first librarian. To Miss Bessie Jordan and Miss Willie Lou Jordan we happily dedicate this edition of the FALCON.

A TRIBUTE As we look back at our high school experiences, we are conscious of our appreciation to one who has guided our footsteps through our first three years. Now, we, the first graduating class of West Henderson High School wish to say thank-you to Mr. Glenn C. Marlow. Yes, thank-you for sticking by our side and giving us that indispensable pat on the back through both our losses and victories; ''thank-you' ' for helping us overcome the little problems that seemed so enormous to us; and, most of all, ''thank-you'' for your support. For his guidance through our Senior year, we would like to express our appreciation to Mr. Odell E. Griffin. Tohim we say, ''Welcome to West High. Weas a student body are behind you. ’
