‘ ve my Mr. Joe Francis Ze : Mr. John Hollamon We learn best by doing''--that is the concept on which land judging is based. It is a simple, effective aid for teaching soil appreciation, an awareness of land capability, and wise and pro- fitable land use. Methods of teaching soil conservation and improvement are illustrated in land judging contests. The objective is to train larger numbers of people about the care of the land in order that they will learn how to apply conservation and improvement practices on their own land and to appre- ciate the importance of proper land care in their lives.
