The West Henderson High School ''Masqueraders had this year an enrollment of fifty-eight members, including twenty seniors. The ' Masqueraders produced the Thanksgiving and Christmas assembly programs for the enjoyment of the entire student body. The club tried to learn more about dramatics and to aopreciats good acting. This purpose was fulfilled through programs with special speakers, as well as through prac- tical experience. The 'Masqueraders also assisted with the Junior and Senior plays, even though all Juniors and Seniors were invited to try out for parts. THE MASQUERADERS A scene from the Thanksgiving play. Sean Purposes of the Forensic Club are to develop the student's poise and confidence and to further his ability in speaking before a group. He is encouraged to read extensively and be able to present his own ideas in the best possible manner. The big event of the year was the double victory over East Henderson in the debates on the query, Resolved: The smoking of cigarettes is detrimental to health. The 108 members of this year's Glee Club, under the able direction of Mr. H. C. Edwards, have enjoyed meeting together and planning for special programs throughout the year. The purpose of this club has been to present entertaining musical programs for the enjoyment of the student body. Together with the Masqueraders, the Glee Club has presented a Thanksgiving and Christmas program. Graduation music is also furnished by the Glee Club.
