Both the Falcons and the Fal- conettes have proved themselves worthy of praise. The girls team, coached by Mr. Wilson, has continued undefeated. They won the Henderson County championship in 1961. The boys, coached by Mr. Woodson, have met stiff competition and have done very well, They were runners-up in the 1961 county tournament. Both the Falcons and the Falconettes have good speed and scoring ability. They are respected throughout the conference, be- cause they have represented West well at home and away. The sportsmanship of both teams is admirable.

We are looking forward with great an- ticipation to next year's opening of the Gridiron Wars , 73
