The seventy-five members spend a great deal of time practicing. Mrs. Mackay Enthusiastic members lead a group in a cheer. The aims of the Cheering Club have been the promotion of interest and school spirit in the athletic contests of West Henderson High School. The club was really in a shouting mood this year. The members gallantly appeared in the cold weather to cheer the football team on; they loudly showed their school spirit at the basketball games. The club members met weekly to plan and learn new cheers that would put everyone in the mood to win, The Cheering Club worked hard, but its efforts were rewarded by the accomplishments of the athletic department. .

LIBRARY ASSISTANTS The library at West Henderson High School contains approximately three thou- sand eight hundred titles. Thirty-three mag- azine subscriptions are received regularly, and two newspapers are delivered daily. The library furnishes the students a very pleasant atmosphere for studying. It is open from 8:00 A.M, until 4:00 P.M, with the open book shelves allowing the students an Opportunity to browse among the books in selecting the title that they want to borrow.
