The Dramatics Club of West Henderson High, which adopted The Masqueraders” as its official club name, had an enrollment this year of seventy-five members. These included thirty seniors, twenty-three juniors, four sophomores, and eighteen freshman. The year's productions consisted of several one-act plays and skits, and the Junior and Senior plays. Tryouts for the Senior play, which was presented in May, was opened to all seniors, as well as Masquer- aders. Eligibility for the Junior play, given in the early spring, was on similar basis, with priority given to members of the Junior class.

This was a very active year for the West High F.H.A, Many worthwhile projects were successfully completed. Thehighlight for the year was a trip to Broughton Hospital to deliver four hundred Christmas gifts that were collected by the members of the Henderson, Polk, and Transylvania F,H,A. chapters.

Mrs. Mackay Enthusiastic members lead a group in a cheer. The aims of the Cheering Club have been the promotion of interest and school spirit in the athletic contests of West Henderson High School. The club was really in a shouting mood this year. The members gallantly appeared in the cold weather to cheer the football team on; they loudly showed their school spirit at the basketball games. The club members met weekly to plan and learn new cheers that would put everyone in the mood to win, The Cheering Club worked hard, but its efforts were rewarded by the accomplishments of the athletic department. .
