Patsy Edwards won the ''Betty Crocker Search for the American Homemakers' of To- morrow contest at West Henderson High School. Patsy received a ''Homemakers' of Tomorrow pin. She has also entered the contest for the - State Homemakers' of Tomorrow. Lorene Rhodes and Linda Praytor, have been working toward degrees of achievement in the Future Homemakers' of America organization since they entered highschool, Lorene received her Junior and Chapter Degrees from Fletcher School and Linda received hers from Mills Ri- ver School. The Degrees of Achievement Program is one way in which the Future Homemakers’ organiza- tion gives recognition to its members who: (1) Have worked effectively toward the purposes of the organization, (2) have contributed to the im- provement of their chapters, homes, schools, and communities, (3) have made a plan for their own growth as individuals, chapter members, home members, and school and community members, and (4) have checked their progress as they car- ried out their plans. This year they are applicants for the State Homemakers’ Degree, the highest award grantec by the Future Homemakers' Organization.
