Excited and spirited, proud of our class, taking advantage of this marvelous last year, filled with ,contrasting emotions, looking forward and looking back . . . Our 'first year-the awesome newness-strangers from di- versified places arrived at an incomplete shell. The confusion- carpenters hammering and drilling to finish the shell, and we, the first seventh graders struggling to acclimate ourselves. Gradually strangers became friends, worked together to build a class, to plan events, to leave traditions that would furnish the shell. Memories now: Of the Eight Ball, our first class dance, now an annual affairg of the ninth grade when the younger classes stood as we entered assembliesg of the tenth grade when we were slightly lost againg of greeting card sales-raising money for our beautiful Junior Prom and our eagerly anticipated senior year. Special Senior memories, unforgettable fun, adding two ex- traordinary and mischievous members to the class register- Harvey, the 6' 1-lf 2 pooka of our Senior play, and Rajah, the ram, '59's contribution to school spirit. Senior week-crazy hats and a class picnic, the Washington Trip???!!. and the luxurious senior ball. Finally the culmination of our six years in high school, June 21st-Graduation. Now striving forward, adding our dreams to humanity's, helping to direct a world's motion . . .
