32 z1!5'I SAVIN ROCK ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON This section of West Haven was named for a type of small tree found growing in the rocky locality. The sum- mer play ground of Savin Rock was built in 1902. Since then it has been extended to cover many shoreline acres. Savin Rock attracts thousands of visitors from all over New England to enioy the recreations that are offered. 1954
