SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Here we go startlng through the frrst grade wlth Mrs Sherman We see s1tt1ng here Wayne Brfano Ellen Johnmann Janet LaMoreaux Shmrley Llncks Mary Ann Mapes Ollve Osbourn Alvln Sharp B111 Whxtxng Jerry Pettersen and Harold W1ll1ams Later on rn th1s year Janet Cottrell Jolned us from Krrtland ln the second grade Carol Kochert came wlth us to learn our A B C s from Mlss 1-Ionberver We contxnued through the th1rd grade w1th Mrs Talraferro and noone Jomed us thls year In the fourth grade we walked ln the class room and met Mrs Daugherty to help us learn our readlng wr1t1ng and ar1thmet1c There were Terry I-Iarrulton from Cleveland and Robert Harms from East Cleveland Now we go to the frfth grade to meet Mlss I-Iav1lton but we dldn t get any new members th1s year Then we all marched together to the slxth grade to meet Mrs Srnger and there wa1t1ng for us was Donald Nelson from Mayfleld lt1s 1950 and Chester and Russell were consolldated maklng us now good old West Geauga We are rn the seventh grade now 1n whlch we have Mrs Forguson and Mrs Kleselbach Now Joxmng us are Sandra Hamley from Roosevelt Jr Hlgh and Ronald Dobles from Cleveland The ones we met from Russell were Susan Selrga and Jaye Ann Rexford who started ln the f1rst grade at Russell wlth Mrs Hoxter No one Jorned them untll the fourth grade when Agatha Machuta came from Twlnsburg and Mane Fahrenholz from Cleveland Hexghts That year they had Mrs Stafford teachlng them ln the slxth grade Paul Fulton Joxned them from South Euclld and Nancy Srndelar from Munson Mrs Plke was the1r teacher for that year And now our whole group 15 go1ng onto the erghth grade lt was very 6XC1t11'1g for us we got to go to the hlgh school bulldlng Conme Roster Jomed us th1s year from Mayf1eld Jack Wrrght from Cleveland 1-lerghts and Mrke Parker from Umversrty of M1ch1gan Hrgh School Thxs year our advrsors were Mr Barnes ana Mr Maurer We are Freshmen and our adv1sor now 1S Mr Jones JO1I'11I1g us th1s year 15 Tom Hart from Cleveland Helghts After we lrved through our Freshmen 1n1t1at1on we all marched on to be Sophomores w1th M1ss Jones and Mr Maukenon as home room teachers O yes thatwas the year John Toth from Cathedral Latrn Glenn V1her from East Hrgh and Ron Speth from West H1ghJo1ned us Then we were all exc1ted about the Junlor Semor Prom Jo1n1ng us th1s year were Ronme Burran from Bedford H1gh Jack Grubbs from Munson and Tom Taylor from Herghts Hrgh Yes that sthe year we met Mr Savchuk who was also our sponsor Last came the most wonderful year of all The Senlor tr1p IS one of the ma1n top1cs of d1scuss1on thls year Dlck Hoge Joxned us from Brush Hlgh and we had the one and only Mrs Russell for our Semor advlsor And so as the sun srnks 1n the West we the Senror Class of '56 w1sh Mr Maukenon s trrcky tests the dancrng gym class Barney and WEST GEAUGA HIGH a fond farewell 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 - 1 ' 1 O . - 1 . 1 1 ' . . . . . v 1 1 .
