L m1.1 K'1' ,, ' 'Q History of the Senior Class Dear Reader: Listen closely and 1'll tell you about the experiences we seniors have had during our four years at West Fulton. September 1943 It all started off with a bang! Well, maybe it was just the bell but it introduced us scared Freshmen to a new and exciting experience. November 1943 Of all the many new things, 1 believe football was one of the most exciting. Our boys won the N.G.l.C. too! Maybe the Freshmen brought along some good luck with them! January 1944 Back to school we came after our Christmas holidays. So once again we settled down to study and work, to make this year one of the best. March 1944 Here it was at last! The much talked about Spring Car- nival. lt was very exciting even if the Juniors did take the throne, May 194-4 May contained another treat. 1t's a pity it was only for the Juniors and Seniors. Yes, it was the annual Junior- Senior dance. September 1944 Once again we passed through the doors of West Fulton. This time we were Sophisticated Sophomores! lt wasn't quite as exciting but we liked going again, March 1945 Before we knew it, time came again for our Spring Fes- tival! We worked hard to put our king and queen on top but the Seniors upset our plans. May 1945 Not only did May contain the Junior-Senior dance fyes, we Sophomores were left out againll but it also contained the giving out of annuals. Didnt we feel big giving our signatures to everyone! September 1945 Today we Jolly Juniors started another year at West Fulton. We'd been warned to do some extra studying, and that is exactly what we did! November 1945 Again Thanksgiving rolled around and we got two whole days off! Everyone seemed larger when he returned to school limaginationYJ. Could it have been the dinner we ate? December 1945 We got out of school early this year for Christmas due to the snow. December went all out to give us a wonderful white Christmas! .lanuary 1946 The second day of the New Year saw us going up that hill to West Fulton again. We were all ready to put our energy into studying hard again. April 1946 The Senior Play was the main event in April, and when Act 3, Scene 4, brought down the curtain everyone was fully pleased at such a grand performance. May 1946 At last, we experienced our first Junior-Senior dance! lt was everything we expected loo, in other words, it was wonderful! September 1946 Could it possibly be true that at last we were Dignified Seniors? Yes, we all were proud to admit it to ourselves! November 1946 We were really proud of our senior rings when they came this month. Now everyone could plainly see we were full- Hedged seniors! May 1947 Once more we went lo the .lunior-Senior dance. Every- one had a good time, even if they did know it would be their last one. June 1947 Tonight as the graduation exercises go on, 1 know every- one will he glad and sad, glad to know he has accom- plished something to be proud of during his four years at West Fulton. sad to be leaving his high school days, to go seek a career for himself out in the world.
