PROPHECY With contracts in hand Wilma and I set out for the West coast for our first real modeling jobs. We left from the Greater Pittsburgh Airport. There was Phyllis Claypoole behind the ticket stand ready to take our tickets. We talked to her and told her about our new jobs. She told us James Kilejust signed with the New YorkYankees. By that time we had to hurry to catch the plane. Later, much to our surprise, we learned Jerry Risch was the pilot. At lunch time the hostess, Margaret George, brought our lunch. The first thing we knew we were landing at Cleveland. It wasn't bad for our first plane ride. We had a day to spent in Cleveland. We decided to go shoppingg we walked into a little dress shop. There was Peggy Bowser and Helen McDowell designing some beautiful gowns. They told us they were employed by Marian Turney. We talked to the girls a while and then we were on our way. Next we had lunch in the Elite Coffee Shop owned by Shirley Mae Bowser. She told us Leona Anthony and Donald McCoy were to sing there that evening. We were sorry that we couldn't stay for the act. By the time we got back to the hotel it was time to turn in. On our way back to the hotel we had picked up a newspaper. On the very first page there was apicture of Bill Benton and Larry Strobel. They had just completedabeautiful bridge somewhere in the state of Ohio. Next morning we called a taxi to take us to the airport. The driver was Donald Ray. Before we knew it we were at the airport. Ten minutes later we were on our way to Kansas City. When we arrived at the airport in Kansas City much to our sur- prise we saw Mr. and Mrs. James A. McKee. Jim was attending some farm show and Luana came along for a vacation. They informed us the twins were doing fine. Luana told us that Ruth Fair and Betty Morgan had openeda business school in Kansas City. So we dropped in and talked to the girls. They decided they would rent a car and show us the country. We rented a car from the Wolfe's 36
