Our reminiscing seemed to move back the years of time, They, during our impromptu meeting, told me that another of Our gang Tom Hawley was making quite a name for him- self with the Yankee Baseball League, That same evening, by chance, I met Margaret Travis, the assistant superintendant of the nurses at Central Hospital. Since she was on her way to the hospital our conversation of necessity had to be quite brief but pleasant, The taxi that halted to her call bore the name of Louis Claypoole, I recalled a Louis Claypoole in school, and from the hotel cashier, Claire Bundy, I later learned it was my high school classmate who now owned and operated a large fleet of cabs in New York, Pleased and proud was I to greet Rev. Duane King the next moming as I entered church, It was good to know he had followed his school day choice in careers. It was just as pleasing too, to hear him make fine comments on the work Goldie Crissman was doing in dark Africa as a missionary, Goldie had the courage to go, he said, and is still showing that courage. My trip homeward later that day was filled with an air of satisfaction. The trip was a new era for me yet filled with old memories of happy by-gone school days, The Prophet Mrs. Gracia fShearerJ Fleeger

PROPHECY It was a beautiful spring day in April of 1961. A restless feeling took posession, of me and Idecided to take a trip to New York City, I wanted to see the many wonderful things spring offered there, and also to visit my old friends. On arriving in early afternoon I learned the opera Springtime starring my old friend, Virginia Foster, was playing and none other than the world celebrated pianist, Helen Renwick was furnishing the music, Truly the multi-millionaire, oil magnet of the South West, George Bowser, now owner of the M, O, Co, had done well to book two such note worthies for one opera. I decided to attend the opera, As I was leaving the main corridor ofthe large opera house, I met two old friends, Shirley Bowser now Mrs, Robert Shearer and her husband, who were honeymooning in N, Y. C. A little chat ended in a dinner engagement at a fashionable French night club where we were as- tonished to find John Tancabel, not only present but proprietor, Don Vensel's world famous orchestra's soft music gave the place an air of pleasantness, and to our delight, the poised and artistic dancer, Pat Harmon was there to please us with the newest and best in the graces of the dance, having just completed a European tour. When I returned to my hotel suite that evening I was greeted by Robert Cousins, owner of the hotel, who asked me ifI would like to have a newspaper, He said there were several articles about my old school friends which might interest me. I thanked him and went to my room to browse over the newspaper, -- The New York Tribune, The next morningl was pleased to dine with the dietician of the Cousin's Hotel, Esther Brotzman, The food was excellent but the reminiscing was even more enjoyable, Ileft my car at the garage where Adilo Unterschuertz, the new mechanic there and an old friend of mine, would give it the 1000 mile check-up that it needed, Since I'd need to wait for the car, I decided to shop in Gimbels for something new in Easter fashions, The models at Gimbels are always so helpful, and to my surprise and enjoy- ment one of the models in a beautiful spring suit was none other than the stunning model Shirley Ray, whom I recognized at once,
