The,Yorth1ngton High School was organised in 1929 Tw years later a Joint school was formed including Worthington Borough and West Franklin Township The present building was erected during the summer of 1931 and the first classes were held in it September 21 The building was dedicated Friday evening, November 27, with Dr J Linwood Eisenburg, President of Slippery Rock Teachers College, as the main speaker of the occasion On June 17, 1955, the first graduating class, a group of twenty six students, received their diplomas Since that first commencement, s group of students each year have Joined the alumni ranks and gone out in search of a place in the world The international crisis now existing has scattered Worthington West Franklin graduates to the ends ot th9 llrthe 43
