STAFF CRAFTY TEACHER By Anna Howell Have you ever wondered what teachers do in their spare time? Approximately nine teachers at West create,, a craft or two. Mrs. Audrey Crater does country painting and wooden items. She has been doing this for about ten years. lt's dif- ferent and relaxing, said Mrs. Crater. Rock collecting, panning gold, and lapidary are hobbies of Mr. John Ashburn. I still collect rocks, but I have given up on lapidary. I pan for gold occasionally. Not only does Mr. Denny Zeiters coach varsity football and golf, but he also does mod- el railroading. For two years he has been building the rail lines and running the trains,', which also happens to be what he enjoys most about his hob- by. Basket weaving and fabric weaving have taken up much of Mrs. Pat Spainhour's time. She enjoys working with textures and patterns and designing new formsf, if f ' 2, ,ana or .tg .. . 1.
