As one of the three freshmen on the varstiy basketball team Kim admits, I don't get to play a lot, maybe about four minutes, but it's great to enter right onto the varsity team in- stead of going through junior varsity. A' ff 2 sition, Kim feels her 5,7 frame is a great advantage for her position. In her own words, Basket- ball is a challenging sport with a lot of action and competi- tion. Kim credits Mrs. Gilbert for her success in basketball be- cause, she has taught me so much this season that I feel stronger in the sport. I look forward to playing basketball for West another three years. Her future goals include, gaining a scholarship to the University of Chapel Hill to play on the basketball team. Through all of the hard work and effort practice requires, Kim still managed enough time to study in order to receive good grades.
