S Critical Condition by Anna Howell Jennifer Little's chance for stardom began. last April. She said, I was performing in a night club where the casting di- rector for Paramount Pictures was visiting. A movie starring Richard Pryor was being filmed in High Point and Jen- nifer auditioned for a part. She was hired to play the part of a patient in a mental hospital. Jennifer had to miss two days of school, but she was paid for her work in the film. The scene in which Jennifer acted involved a fire in the mental hospital. They sprayed 114 Black-Burnette smoke all over to make it look like a real fire. I enjoyed meeting Richard Pryor very much, said Jennifer. Pursuing a professional dancing career is Jennifefs goal. I want to go to a dance college in Utah, stated Jennifer. Participation in Titanides, Future Homemakers of Amer- ica, and in a professional trav- eling dance group took up much of Jennifer's spare time. Her first love, however, will al- ways be dancing. RISING STAR: Jennifer Little and Richard Pryor's stand-in worked to- gether in the movie, Critical Condi- tion. Jennifer found out that acting was not easy, but she still enjoyed it. Q -K v I Gi it
