SE Miner F IORS ' The Final Step By Bridget Ruth Close to 400 seniors were look- ing forward to this special day. By 10 A.M. a collection of memories patterned the minds of many. They reminisced over the last high school lecture they heard, the scramble for a parking space, and the last time they heard the unforgetta- ble bell ring at the end of class. Parents quickly forgot about the uncomfortable conditions of the hard stadium benches when they heard their sons and daughters called to walk across the stage. y The big day finally came. Afterwards for some it meant striving for a higher education in a distant school or getting a full time job. These special se- niors' future plans included: Going to college, having fun, and becoming very richf, said Angela Dixon. Heading to the beach then off to college for more good times, said Chris Shuping. Going to college in order for me to prepare for a life on my own, said Jeff Piercey. The alumni may hail future presidents, lawyers, secretar- ies, teachers, or famous sports players. No matter how rich or famous they may get, the big - day, GRADUATION, will be a special and exciting time for GOODBYE ISN'T FOREVER: This The Class of 1987 year, West will have the largest gradu- ' ating class ever. Parting may be sad for many, but the memories will last a life- time for The Class of 1987, Kym Matthews Sherrin Matthews Ashley Maxwell Jim McCarter Tangela McCullen f-T-life- ' sf. in 'i M'-ME' SE-I' lifiiiffsifkii' si- I A .
