Hemm, B. Kozojed, P. Rykken. HA Hang Nail Is N0 Reason to Skip Practice, Bill. Cross Country is a sport which requires a great deal of self discipline and hard work. It serves as a great method of conditioning for other sports, and for me, was a lot of fun. The 1974 season was a very memorable one. We almost literally started from scratch, but through a lot of effort became a reasonably successful team by the end of the season. We wanted to prove to others and mostly ourselves that we could do it, and even though the work was easy, we achieved a certain amount of success throughout the year. Long distance running is sometimes tedious and dull, but our team was very closely knit, and we enjoyed working together in becoming a better team.
