Then, the long and layered look was in. soon followed by the chic, cropped and gelled spikes. At West Essex, it's clear that the right haircut is as equally as important as it once was. However, it's obvious in the hallways that any haircut is an acceptable haircut, unless it can cause physical harm to another student. With all of the state-of-the- art equipment for impeccable haircare, a person is capable of cutting, spraying, coloring, and molding his hair to death. Hair is definitely a sign of one's own personality, especially at West Essex where there is lhat desire to be the true non-conformist. It is also clearly obvious by noting one's hairsytle. with whom he associates. By observing a typical day at West Essex, one can see that no one is afraid to wear his hair long or short, in tresses or in spikes, plainly, anyone can style, size, or color his hair in any way possible STUDENT LIFE 9
