The gyninasiuni is now only half completed. An aulclition is planned for the west sicle to provicle adequate room for the girls, classes. The seconcl floor of the gyninasium has two large rooms, ai rest room. uncl two storage rooms. Thr- east wing was completed for the fall of l 955. Six classrooms, including the Home Wim Economics Department, constitute the first floor. A separate unit, lmuilt at the same time, houses the lunchroom, kitchen, storage room, and inunageris office. The West End High School P.T.A. was sponsored hy the Hemphill Parent-Teachers Association. West End's first officers wereelected May 22, 1930 at Lee School. The enrollment of West End High School in the spring semester of l958 was 1264. lfstimate of enrollment for September l958 is l,344. West End High School is still growing.
