wo llut landing Athlete N Rolmrf Williams When baseball season rolls around, Robert Williams is in his second heaven. Robert has been playing baseball for Aba Daba since his freshman year. He held down a position at second base for two years on the B-team and then moved up to the varsity. He saw enough action his first year to earn a varsity letter. During his last varsity stason Robert took over the second base slot, where he developed into one of the most dependable players on the squad. Robert's athletic career at Aba Daba wasn't limited to baseball alone by all means. He was probably even more outstanding on the basketball court. During his first two seasons, he was a valuable main- stay on the B-team. His second year saw him holding down a position at guard on the first string, where he lettered. Moving up to the varsity during his junior year, he promptly took over a guard position on the first string. During his senior year, Robert continued his hustling, conslstant hitting, and helped to give Aba Daba a winning ball club. Robert certainly deserves the title of one of West End's outstand- ing senior athletes. S552 When it comes to track, none other than Roy Albert Balbert Guyton takes the spotlight. Roy was a three year letter man on Coach Fletcher's cinder crew and he certainly earned his honors. He special- ized in the high and low hurdles, but he also branched out into broad- jumping, highjumping, and any other events where he was needed. Roy's sport interests were not confined only to track. He was a star quarterback on the B football team for one season. Roy starred on the B basketball squad for two years and then moved up to the varsity, where he earned two letters. He was co-captain of last season's basketball team and earned berths on thc All-City and All-District squads. Roy is planning to attc nd Troy State Teachers' College on a basket- bull scholarship. He will major in physical education in preparation for a coaching career. Looking over his school record, it can be certain that Roy will fulfill his ambition. Roy Guyton
