Claude played B-Team football for two years and thLn moved up to the varsity, where he earned two letters. During his senior year, Claude really hit his stride. He earned a starting berth at left half and then proceeded to make a name for himself. He was one of the main cogs that sparked West End to the Big Five Championship. He won for himself a berth on the second team of the Big Five All-City squad. Claude was a catcher on the B-baseball squad for two seasons and then moved up to the varsity to win two letters. After graduating, he is planning to attend Auburn where he will major in physical education.
