FOREWARD We, the class of 1952, have gathered our memoirs in a sincere effort to put forth our talents and resources to record briefly the achievements of our four years at West Edgecombe High School. In the publishing of this, our annual, we have sought earnestly to preserve the spirit of progress which has evidently characterized the school's developement and to set forth the definite advantages, attractions, and opportunities of our schocl. How well we succeed shall be for you to judge. We have made mistakes, that is natural, but with an ardent inter- est, we have worked to the best of our ability to send out the 1952 edition of the Wescomb, :ith the sincere wish that it will be a source of genuine enjoyment to all the students and friends of Iest Edgecombe School.
