Your fine example has been a guiding light in preserving the fine ideals of our school. To the symbol of the star or Hesper, we add ours, the Comet, for a continuation of the fine traditions which you have made and upheld. With humble spirit we dedi- cate this annual to you. This annual is dedicated to the alumni, who have successfully completed their high school education. This graduating class, also, will find lite more pleasant and rewarding because of the light they have come to see. CLAYTON R. I-'RANCKE Principal 8 The so-called Light of Learning cannot be to us a true light unless we shall find it reflected back upon us again and again through the benefits our own learning has brought to others. Unless our work here at West Division is done conscientiously and well, with the idea ever in mind that we must improve ourselves that we may aid in the improvement of others, we are not working for the best in education. The helpful, worthwhile things emanating from us mark us as genuine students, members of a student body that will bring honor to our school. C. V. WHITCOMB. This year's was no exception. With the theme of Dreamers Holiday, it promised a very exciting evening, one not to be forgotten for many years. As the couples entered the beautifully decorated gym, the girls in their pretty formals and boys in their best suits, strains of lilting music caught their ears. Soon everyone was dancing rhythmically. Then in the late hours of the night, the couples were whisked off to the Pfister Hotel where the Post Prom was held. This put a satisfying ending to a night of enchantment and romance. OFFICERS GIRLS' ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION G.A.A. is a wonderful organization for girls to belong to. At least that is what the girls say who have been members. In the organization a fine spirit of sportsmanship is fostered. Every girl, in a truly democratic fashion, is given a chance to take part in the sport of her choice. Miss Peters and Miss Boettcher add much to the joy of school life for the girls by helping each member to learn to play with others and to compete on a fair basis. We, the girls of G.A.A. have loved our club and will always remember it as a significant part of our high school life. 82 I 'Y 2' xx f 1 bl' '1 'Q a Qu. w i X! . J 4 , L V N V1 w , X , 1 .
