Seniors l, the President of the Class of 1966, present this key to you, the President of the Class of 1967 . . . Thus, as always, the Junior Class, on Awards Day, became the Senior Class of 1967, beginning their last year of high school. For every Senior, the year was packed with memories of sports events, choosing queens, burning the midnight oil typing term papers, and making timeless friendships. Along with football season came the annual Homecoming game, with this year's queen, Marlene Georgic and her two Senior attendants. The Senior Class picnic changed an old tradition this year, being held in the fall at North Park's Rose Barn. Time spent by eating, playing volley ball, dancing, and just plain having fun rushed by. ln the Senior play, Junior Miss, directed by Mrs. Zilla, Marjorie Evanega enacted the lead part of Judy Graves. Judy, a teenager, is constantly add- ing one and one to get three. She draws the con- clusions that her Uncle Willis CDen Burchelll has a prison record, and that her father CTom DeMartinil is ready to run away with his secretary Uan Wil- kinsoni. Did you ever stroll through Central Park in the West Deer Gym? This was the decor for the Senior Dinner Dance. After a delicious chicken dinner, with all the trimmings, the Seniors assembled in the park for entertainment provided by several of West Deer's June Taylor Dancers and later by the swinging music of John Plesha's Orchestra. The Senior Queen, Cathy Paszek and her court, chosen by their Senior classmates, reigned on Awards Day. And again the Senior key was handed down with these words, l, the President of the Class of 1967, present this key to you, the President of the Class of 1968 . . . Let's take it on Broadway! After the successful play, Junior Miss, the cast presented Mrs. Zilla, the di- rector, with a token of their appreciation.
