7 THE TRAVELER’S JOURNEY The traveler stands alone upon the hill. And marvels at the peace and wondrous still. Behind him lie familiar paths long past That led to this challenging slope at last. ' Tis comfort to look back upon those trails And re-live memories that through the mind do sail. - ' J! The traveler stands alone upon the hill He turns ahead to look upon the real - Before him - higher mountains, fields and sky, A brighter day dawns - and yet with a sigh He hesitates to leave - for part of him will stay, But Future calls the traveler to be on his way. The traveler looks ahead - the time to leave draws near. Forever treasured memories - this stay of one brief year. Look once more at the radiant skies - For above the clouds your future lies.
