So appro- priate are the words of Loyola's prayer to the life of Myrle Horton until one could well wonder if this was not as much her prayer as his. Her task was never easyg her earthly reward was never greatg but in the kind, quiet, conscientious fulfill- ment of duty as she saw it she exemplified so well these virtues. MYRLE M. HoRToN Myrle Horton came to West Coast Bible College as Librarian in September, 1953. For twelve years her energies were dedicated to building and improving the W. C.B. C. library. ln winter she searched count- less book lists and book stores for new acquisitions. In summer she travelled many miles and sought out new book sources where ever she went. And always if funds were not available, she donated her own meager resources to buy books for her library. Today if you will visit the West Coast Bible College library you will find literally hundreds of volumes that bear this simple legend inside the front cover, Donated by Myrle Horton. On December 24, 1968, after prolonged illness Myrtle Horton departed this life to be eternally with the Lord. Although she had a lovely family of six children and many grandchildren who mourn her passing, hundreds of those who were a part of her West Coast Bible College family tenderly acknowledge their gratitude to her service and pay their respects to her memory. 89
