'inn-.xr Languages The Language Department offers courses in four foreign languages: French, German, Latin, and Spanish. Language Sampling, a popular course, had two sections each semester. The French classes took a trip to Carnegie Theatre and a French restaurant, the German classes to the Museum of Contemporary Art and a German restaurant, and the Spanish classes to a Mexican restaurant and a Spanish dance program. , ' Egg: xv: Computer Math The computer literacy unit continued to receive nationwide attention. Dept. Head Lee Yunker, Frank Burzynski, and Dennis Stevens spoke again on computer literacy at the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics Convention in October and to the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio, in April. Mr. Yunker also spoko at an Adult Education Conference in Hollywood, Florida, in April. Teachers Stephen Jeffrey and Paula Mennecke replaced Dr. John Murphy and Robert Lemon, both on leave for a year. Math Contest Winners: Richard Gorvett, Marie Devereux, David Nelson.
