Foreward Life is unique to each student. A student ' s life could be crammed with intellectual endeavors, or at the other end of the spectrum, social endeavors . The majority of students, however, maintain a balance between the two extremes. It seems that most activity takes place from Monday to Thursday, with Thursday night being the climax for social activity. Students clamor to Joe ' s, and Anvil, and the Courtyard, and get in just in time Friday morning to grab their suitcases and head for home. Dorm parties, legal and otherwise; class booze cruises; smashing dances and off-cam- pus keg parties draw the weekend crowds. Although study areas have become sparse this year due to the crowded conditions in the dorms, there are still places spotting the campus where the conscientious student may go. Aside from partying and studying, the College offers diverse activities for the student seeking involvement or entertainment. There are several government bodies for the politically active individual and there are community service projects to entice the socially conscious person. The many literary publications bring out the best in future Shakespeares as well as communicating news and depicting memorable occasions to the rest of the College community. For those students who take advantage of the planned social events, we have College Union to look to for outstanding perf ormers and speakers acquired for the enjoyment of all throughout the year. Each holiday season creeps into the dorms, classrooms, and auditoriums in the forms of creative decor hanging every- where that it isn ' t supposed to be. Decorations aren ' t the only thing, however, which suggest the approaching holiday. Many students glary-eyed from, well - let ' s just say expectation, roam the campus. Yes, West Chester State provides a variety of activities and a wide range of interests for students (even the one without a suitcase!).
