Serpentine The 1961 Serpentine will always hold the cherished memories of our years of work and fun at West Chester State College. The yearbook staff strove to record in this volume every aspect of college life — study, activities, clubs, sports, and special features. They sought to publish a tangible memory for us, so that in years to come we may remember college friends, faculty and administration, and the events of our life at West Chester. Without a doubt, the most memorable e ent of the ear was the inauguration of Dr. T. Noel Stern, the new president of the college. Three noteworthy additions were made on the campus. These were Swope Hall, the music educa- tion building; McCarthy ' Hall, the women ' s dormitory; and the New Men ' s Donnitor}-. All changes recorded, all business completed, and the class of 1961 has completed die 1961 Serpentine — its links in tlie history of WCSC.
