We knew that no matter what went wrong, the helping hands of Miss Eves and Mrs. Tuter, our nurses, were always right there to administer first aid to students. Our thanks went to Mary Phillips, assistant clerk. Catherine Finegan, Book Store Manager, and B. Reed Henderson, director of SAA, for man tasks performed. Real morale boosters were letters and packages from the home front, carefully handled on this end by Mrs. Rodebaugh and Mrs. Connell, our post office clerks. A cheerful voice could always be heard whenever our telephone operators, Mrs. McCormick, standing, and Mrs. Pierce, who is sitting, were at the switchboard. 19
