Tlie 1957 football team, one of the strongest ever assembled on Wayne Field, notched a per- fect record of 9-0. Opponents offered httle re- sistance to the West Chester powerhouse. Pass- ing and running, the Rams led the nation in scoring midway through the season. After Fort Myer and King ' s College were downed 25-7 and 52-12, respectively, the team ' s offensive power was evident. This fact became certain when New Haven and Baldwin-Wallace were routed by scores of 47-7 and 39-7. West Chester was on its way to an undefeated season, the third in the last twenty years. A well-organized unit with speed and versatility, the squad per- formed in ch ampionship tradition and will go down in the annals of West Chester ' s greatest.
