Freshmen That Hectic Day! The freshmen get their first taste of the never-ending registration lines. The confused expressions topped by green dinks this fall belonged to the Freshman Class, who, led by their advisers, Mrs. I Iary Bliss and Dr. James Bonder, soon emerged from their quandary. The Dink Daze and St. Valentine ' s dances, along with a booth at tlie Hallowe ' en party, proved that the Class of ' 59 is an integral part of West Chester ' s campus. Three fresh- man members of the varsity football team gained recognition for the class. Freshmen meet the President. President and Mrs. Swope greet our incoming freshmen at Tanglewood. CLASS OFFICERS: Left to right — Vice-president, Harold Shaar; Vice-president, Mary Jane Kling; President, James Garrett. Standing: Secretary, Adele Wolverton; Treasurer, Edna Mae Rice. 16
