STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION The Student Government Association is one which combines two organizations, the Legislative Assembly and the Cabinet. The Legislative Assem- bly is composed of faculty members who serve as advisers and rejiresentatives from each class who are elected annually by the student body. Students holding certain high oflicial positions in the leading campus organizations automatically become mem- bers of the Cabinet. Two of the important campus activities which are under the direction of student government are Freshman Regulations and the All-College Party. STUDENT ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATION The Student Activities Association is an organization designed to plan for and to give financial assistance to clubs and athletic groups on campus. I nder the guidance of Dr. Robert F. . nderson. the group handles the allot- ment and distribution of such funds according to college policy. The outstanding project of the Student Activities Association is the sponsorship of the celebrated .All-Star Programs. This year ' s presentations included Robert Merrill, Yehudi Menuhin, William Warfield, and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. The co-ordinating link between the Women ' s Day Student Council and the Dormitory Council is the Advis- ory Board. This important and active organization has sponsored a tea honoring the Seniors, the Mid-Winter Formal, the Big — Little Sister Picnic, the Council Ban- quet, and the festive event of decorating the lobby of Main Dormitory for the Christmas season. The accomplishments of this group under the leader- ship of Helen Dennis, president; Xatalie Turpin, vice- president; Joan Coolbaugh, secretary; and Dorothy Chambers, treasurer; have made the student body aware of the existence of this organization.
