PRESIDENT Since 1935 Dr. Charles S. Swope has served as president of the college. Dr. Swope, a native of Pennsylvania, graduated from the State Norrtial School at West Chester in 1921 and later received degrees from Dickinson College and the University of Pennsylvania. After teaching in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and serving as superintendent of schools at Everett, Pennsylvania, he returned to our college as a member of the instructional staff. Eight years later he was elevated to the Presidency of the Teachers College. Since that time. Dr. Swope has been active in civic and community affairs as well as in the field of education.
