COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION STATE TEACHERS COLLEGE WEST CHESTER. PENNSYLVANIA April 30, 1935 IM To the Members of the Graduating Class: What is the best education? was asked of Plato centu- ries ago. His reply was significant; It is that which gives to the body and the soul all the beauty and all the perfection of which they are capable. Pat beauty into your lives at every opportunity. Search for the secret charms of the sunset, the mountain, and the tree; train the eye to see beauty in every leaf and flower; listen for the melody in forest, field, and stream. Remember the vision that you hold in your minds, the ideal that is enthroned in your hearts— this you will build your lives by; this you will become. My wish is that you will help to make the world a bit better and more beautiful because you have lived in it. Cordially yours. .. .U f -- — Charles S. Swope President BOARD OF TRUSTEES Mr. Merrill B.
