IN TRIBUTE Mr. Russell W. Urich With the retirement of a true veteran of the teaching profession, Mr. Russell Urich, West Chester High School hears a great loss. His absence among the members of our faculty will leave a vacancy difficult to fill. Throughout his thirty-six years of teaching in the fields of English, science, and mathe- matics, he has possessed a rare talent of kindling in his students a desire and an eagerness for learning. An A.B. graduate of Franklin and Marshall College, Mr. Urich has served our school well as head of the Mathematics Depart- ment and as a dedicated teacher. The stage of West Chester High will seem empty without his presence, but his memory will remain in all our hearts. IN MEMORIAM Mr. Lowell H. Fisher On September 12, 1962, West Chester High School lost one of its most dedicated faculty members, Mr. Lowell H. Fisher. Educated at Downingtown High School and the Wharton School of the University of Penn- sylvania, Mr. Fisher began teaching at West Chester in 1927. He had served as head of the Business Education Department since 1931. Mr. Fisher was also supervisor of the school’s work- experience program and directed the placement service for the business education students. For many years this industrious man had served as an advisor to the senior class and also aided the administration with commencement exercises. It is with great pride that we honor this man who had such enthusiasm for his work. 13
