The Warrior has left many trail mar- kers along the pathway through the school year, and it is his pleasure to guide you down this marked trail of memories. 4

9n Jhibids. It is with respect and admiration that we pay formal tribute to Mr. Harry E. Carroll, for his retirement in June of 1962 will mark the end of twenty-four years of service to West Chester Senior High School. Mr. Carroll received his B. S. from Waynesburg College in Pennsylvania and since that time has taken several additional courses at Shippensburg College, West Chester State College, the University of Pennsylvania, and Columbia University. During his stay here Mr. Carroll has taught both general science and biology. He has also coached Junior and Senior High football and has acted as assistant coach in Senior High basketball. Mr. Carroll has always been a steady, dependable teacher and has had no regrets about having made “no speeches in assemblies.” As for the future he seems to have a desire for travel, but he does have definite plans to “just loaf, that’s all.” 9n VlfbLMtfVLaM On March 16, 1961, West Chester High School lost one of its most faithful and beloved faculty members, Mr. Ivan D. Neidermyer. Mr. Neidermyer came to our school in 1946 as Head of the Latin Department and held that position for fifteen years. Throughout these years he also served as a class sponsor and sponsor of the Latin and German Clubs. Those who knew him best will remember his quiet sense of humor and his sincerity in helping every one of his students. All who understood his love for German and the classical languages will recall his enthusiasm when German was intro- duced into the school system. A memorial Latin Cup and German Award have been established in his honor, and it is with the same respect and esteem that we retain the memorv of such a devoted man. 6
