First he was here, then he was gone, and now he is back again. We were sorry to see Mark go after spending his ninth grade year with us, but we were even more surprised to see him on the first day ot our senior year. It did not take long, though, for Mark to make up for the time he had lost. Through sports and other extra-curricular activities, he picked up where he had left off in building friend- ships with other members of the class. After grauda- tion, Mark plans to serve his country and his Cod in the Army Reserve and after getting settled there, he will begin his college education. “I would like to especially thank my Guardians foi their concern by providing me with a Christian edu cation during my schooling years. ” . Blessed are they that hear the word of God, ani keep it.” Luke 11:28b Choir 12; Special Choir 12; Soccer 12. MARK LEE ANDERSON Well, what can we say about this guy that he has not already said himself. Never at a loss for words, Paul has made for himself the reputation of a spur-of-the- moment comedian. Hopefully he will be able to con- trol his gift of making others double over with laughter as he moves on to the more mature and refined world of Bob Jones University. Studying Ac- counting and Computer Science should give Paul plenty to laugh about. “Thanks to my very best friends: Mom, Dad, Joe, Tim, Sharon, and Carol. I love you all!” ‘‘Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are plea- sures for evermore. ” Psalm 16:11 Choir 9, 10, 11, 12; Special Choir 10, 11, 12; Bas- ketball 10, 12; Soccer 9, 10; Play 11; Yearbook 11, 12; Years at WCCS 4. 18 PAUL GERARD BARNARD

You’ve got to admit; when you picture someone hollaring at a basketball game, or arguing over a lost point on a test, Janice is not the one who comes to mind. Perhaps she can be described as “swift to hear and SLOW TO SPEAK” and when she does have something to say, you had better listen because she is not going to say it twice! Fortunately, a big mouth is not one of the requirements fo those who study cosmetology at Bob Jones University, so Janice should have no trouble at all. “Thank you, Mom and Dad, for all you have done for me and for sending me to a Christian school. I love you both very much. ” “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint. ” Isaiah 40:31 Soccer Cheerleading 11; Choir 9, 10, 11, 12; Years at WCCS 7. JANICE ELIZABETH BATEMAN If you were to ask one of her classmates how long Dianne has attended WCCS, they probably would not' realize that she has only completed two years here at the school. Although often missing from morning roll call in order to practice her trumpet tooting with the band, she will be as much a part of the laughter and pleasant memories as anyone else when reunion time rolls around. Dianne will carry with her the best of wishes from all her friends as she attends Pensacola Christian College in hopes of someday serving the Lord full time as a Missionary. “Mom and Dad, thank you for allowing me to come to West Chester Christian School. I love you. Thak you to the teachers and best wishes to all my friends. ” “For Cod, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of Cod in the face of Jesus Christ. ” II Corinthians 4:6 Band 11, 12; Choir 12. DIANNE RENAE BERNARD 19
