“Ye arc the light of the world. ” With this statement Christ declares that Christians are to shine as light in the world around them. Every one who has accepted Christ as his personal Saviour has the divine Light in him. It is the Christian's responsibility, then, to allow this light to shine through him into ev- ery aspect of life, serving as a beacon both to warn the unsaved of the treach- erous shoals of sin and to light the path to our Saviour. We Are A Light In Darkness .iik “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it. In John 1:15, Christ is described as the light that shines in a world of darkness. Each of us must work to relied that Light into the lives of the unsaved. With God’s abounding help, we can be used to enlighten the black world of sin. The apostle Paul admonishes us in Ro- mans 2:19, “Thou thyself are ... a light to them which are in darkness. ”
