David Brooks McIntyre Mary Beth McMillen Roberta Lois Noden Kristine Marie Osborn With his bird calls and flannel shirts, Dave has made it obvious to all what his hobby is: hunting. For his “How-to-Do-It” speech, he showed us how a flintlock is fired. The backfire left everyone deaf for the rest of the day. Dave will undoubted- ly lay aside his gun when he goes to college where he plans to major in elementary education and missions. “For God so loved the world, that he ga ve his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Choir: 12 Although Beth is only 4 10 ” tall, she makes a BIG impression. In basketball, she is a terror on the court. As far as schoolwork, she is an excel- lent student. When it comes to loving-kindness, Beth's spirit is ever-giving. This quality will be sure to make an impression on those for whom she cares as a nurse after graduation from Bob Jones University. “Therfore, my beloved brethen, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord (I Corinthians 15:58). Basketball: 9. 10, II, 12 Choir: 9, 10, 11, 12 Volleyball: 9, 10, 11, 12 Yearbook: 11, 12 Sweet and gentle on the outside but rowdy and high-spirited on the inside best describes this little dynamo. Kris was busy this year with career with Miss Hopson. She graded papers, put up bulletin boards, and taught lessons to the children. After school, Kris worked as an office secretary. This was an excellent working experience for her since she plans to major in secretarial science in col- lege. “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you (I Peter 5:7). Career: 12 One fact is sure about Roberta: she always keeps her cool. If the world should suddenly come to an end, Roberta would most assuredly retain her poise. This level-headedness proved in- valuable to the Bible Quiz Team when things looked shaky. Her ability to calmly handle every situation will most likely come in handy when Roberta begins to work as an office secretary after business school. “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able: but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it (I Corinthians 10:13). Faith Ann Pippin David Jonathan Silcox One special event is prominent in Faith’s mind —one of the most important events in a lifetime. She plans to be married on October 29 of this year. Along with her hand in marriage, her fiance, Ken, will also receive her ”others-first” attitude and her sweet disposition. Faith’s never-ending love and patience will be a great help to her as she assumes the responsibilities of wife and mother. “O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together” (Proverbs 34:3). Choir: 9, 10, II Lunchtime is Linda’s favorite time of the day. She has an incredibly bottomless pit for a stom- ach. She likes to fill this pit with her lunch and the leftovers of everyone else surprisingly, Linda also enjoys nibbling on cat food. Linda is also known for her outstanding cheerleading ability. The fact is proven by her seven consecutive years as a member of the squad. She plans to continue her education at a Christian college. “Whether therefore ye eat or drink, or whatso- ever ye do, do all to the glory of God” (I Corinthi- ans 10:31). Volleyball: 10 Cheerleading: 9. 10, II, 12 Career: 12 David has been a member of this class since second grade. He faithfully served on the soccer and basketball teams throughout his entire high school career. During this time he has established a reputation as an aeronautics expert and math- ematician. His interest in flying is probably the reason he plans to major in missionary aviation at Bob Jones University. “Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil” (Proverbs 4:26-27).
