Schmo's sweet personality, leadership abili- ty. great playing, and love for the Lord have earned him not only his position as captain, but also the respect of his teammates. Visions of Joe driving through the toughest defenses will haunt the dreams of rival coaches for years to come. Although Joe claims his preppy ties as his prized possession, he really likes his health-food goodies from Mom best. Joe's sure to maintain his good diet when he attends college to major in engineer- ing. “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trustelh in thee. Trust ye in the Lord forever; for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting (Isaiah 26:3). His genius-like ability and high grades helped him to attain the title of valedictorian. However, there is a more jovial side to his character: his amusing com- ments frequently spice up our classes. Dan's prized possession is his calculator without which he is never seen. It will probably accompany him to Tennessee Temple University where he will major in the field of mathematics. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart: and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him. and he shall direct they paths (Proverbs 3: 5-6). Basketball: 9 Julie's enthusiasm was displayed by drawing school spirit out of fans as well as players at sporting events. Although she is a successful cheerleader, her piano playing is her forte. She plays in church and school choir, and has won several blue ribbons from competition. Working with the first-graders this year has given Julie the desire to major in elementary education at Bob Jones University. “But they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings as ea- gles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Her sweet- spirited testimony has been an asset to the senior class and others around her. Lynn's cheerful kind- ness will dcHnitely aid her as she goes to Christian college to try her hand at nursing. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33). She faithfully served on the Bible Quiz Team and choir throughout her high school career and was counted as a fine asset to both organizations. Alexis Ann Illes Connie's hard work and organization are two important factors that obtained her the positions of class president and editor-in-chief of the 1983 Conqueror. Her consistent neatness results in friendly teasing by her friends and classmates. Always giving of herself, Connie has gained the love of many, but particularly that of younger children. Possibly this fact is what determined her decision to study elementary education at Bob Jones University. For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee.
