SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE SUPERINTENDENT WILLIAM A. TOCK This has indeed been a most interesting christening year for the West Cen- tral Community School District. The academic endeavors have taken on new and added significance, the vocal and instrumental productions were outstanding, the athletic competition was keener, the dramatic productions developed some fine performers, and the work of school organizations was enhanced by wider participation. These gains are the beginning fruits of a school district of increased size. The larger district most certainly contributed much toward giving our children and young people a better education, but at the same time created some problems. These are problems of transportation, extra curricular activities, breaking old traditions, and other problems that can only be solved by time and labor. We will look to the future for improvement of the curricular offering, improved health and physical educaton programs and the installation of a fun- ctional guidance program.
