OFFICERS SEATED: Jack Letzring, Parliamentar- ian; Larry Bender, Vice-President: Larry Jeanes, President; Larry Harrison, Treasurer; George Steinbronn, Secretary. STANDING: Roger Jeanes, Reporter; Robert Bahe, Sentinel; W: A. Stephens, Advisor. F.F.A. HAS BUSY YEAR A F.F.A. and F.H.A. Hayride was held in the fall. The West Central Chapter had five delegates to the National Convention at Kansas City in October. The chapter sponsored an all high school skating party at Independence, February Many participated in the local F.F.A. Public Speaking and Parliamentary Pro- cedure Contest. In observance of National F.F.A. week -- Richard Decker, Gaylen Cumberland, Roger Decker and George Steinbronn gave their speeches over KOEL, February 22. The senior members and the members winning the chapter public speaking, extemporaneous speaking, creed speaking, and parliamentary procedure team toured John Deere Tractor Works and Rath Packing Company, February 27. The Sweetheart Dance was held in the Maynard Community Hall on March 8. George Patrick furnished the music for the dance. The Annual Father and Son Banquet took place on April 22. The food was donated by the mothers and served by the F.H.A. The West Central Chapter had five delegates to the State Convention at Sioux City. Three of these were candidates for the State Farmer Degree.'They were Larry Alber, Larry Bender and Larry Jeanes. Larry Alber brought home a State Farmer Degree! F.F.A. Spring picnic at Backbone State Park last week of school. Watermelon Supper in July.
