lt was a year ol rebuilding Plagued by tough city league competition and in- iuries, the Falcons compiled a 3-5-1 record in its second year of city competition. ln their first game, the Falcons easily swept over Grandville, 27-O. During the following week, the tension became high at both schools in anticipation of the big game. The Falcons had to settle with a 13-13 tie with their little brothers from across town. The Falcons showed great determination in the first half against Central, but the championship team over- powered the iniury--ridden Falcons, 32-13. Although the spirited West Catholic team outran and surpassed the Creston team, they could not take advantage of their breaks and bowed 19-7. Ottawa continued its domination over the west- siders by beating them 18-13 in a close game. The Falcons did their part in making the Homecoming a success by defeating Union 20-12. South completely dominated W.C. in their 34-7 victory over the dis- heartened Falcons. Showing new life and spirit, the Falcons whipped Muskegon Catholics, 33-14. Having better statistics, the Falcons still lost to Catholic Central in the final game of the season. You showed great spirit, Falcons, and we are proud of you!
